Ibadan Mogajis Back Makinde’s Re-election Bid, Say Governor Has Performed Excellently Well

Traditional Heads of all family compounds in Ibadanland known as Mogajis have unanimously adopted and endorsed Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term of office ahead of the coming March 11 governorship election.

This was as the Mogajis also urged the governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Accord, Senator Teslim Folarin and Bayo Adelabu to be patient for Makinde to complete his second term in 2027.

The Coordinator and Spokesperson of the Ibadan Mogajis, Alhaji (Engr.) Abduljeleel Adewale Kareem; Mogaji Adanla, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues at the press briefing in Ibadan today said nobody in any saner clime changes a performing governor except his tenure of office constitutionally expires.

Mogaji Adanla noted that Makinde has performed creditably well in the last three and half years with various physical urbanization and infrastructural development of Ibadanland urging other candidates in the guber race to allow Makinde complete all developmental projects spread across different parts of the state by the Seyi Makinde led government.

“We are here because we want to declare our endorsement of Governor Seyi Makinde who has performed excellently and creditably well to the world.

“We have even notified the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu about our position that Ibadan and indeed Oyo state is for Seyi Makinde.” Mogaji Adanla said.
