Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku in a recent interview warned fans and media to recognize him as a world-class striker just like Benzema, Lewandowski, Suarez, and Kane.
While speaking to the media, the Inter striker asked for people to put his name up there with the world’s greatest strikers.
You won’t blame Lukaku, his record speaks for him.
So far in his club career, Lukaku has scored 266 goals in 552 appearances. He has also found the net 68 times in 98 games for Belgium and is currently the country’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Only 63 players in the history of football have scored 50+ international goals.
Of those playing for a UEFA nation in the 21st century, only one has a goal per game hit rate of >0.65: Romelu Lukaku.
The likes of Benzema, Lewandowski, Harry Kane, and Suarez always receive great praises from fans and media but Lukaku is always regarded as just another striker.
Forget what happened to his Chelsea career, Lukaku is an outstanding striker and he deserves respect just like these top strikers.
But really guys, 👇🏻
