ECOWAS YOUTH COUNCIL APPOINTS NIGERIA’S RICHARD SOLOMON AS ECOWAS YOUTH AMBASSADOR

The office of the President, West Africa (ECOWAS Youth Council), Conseil Des Jeunes D’Afrique De L’iquest, Cape Verde has appointed AMB.Richard Solomon—as confirmed under the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council—as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, making him one of the youngest recipients of the appointment as well as an awardee of the Nelson Mandela Integrity Awards.

In the appointment letter, Richard is described as a very hard working and diligence young man in the area of service to humanity.

”His commendable exploits as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting entrepreneurship for African youths was laudable.”

I am pleased to confirm that the board of the West African (ECOWAS) Youth Council, on the recommendation of several individuals, has appointed you as a WEST AFRICAN YOUTH AMBASSADOR.”

The appointment was accompanied with all the necessary documents attached to the diplomatic mission, including a diplomatic ECOWAS ID card, ECOWAS Certificate, appointment letter and a specialized auto mobile plate number to foster ease of the Ambassador’s movement across the ECOWAS region, to enable him function appropriately, hold all diplomatic ties related with the council; and for the ease of performance of his duties as an Ambassador of the ECOWAS Youth Council.”

As a young leader, he has groomed and nurtured his mind into envisioning practical methods of governing and organization building. He is a recipient of about 15(fifteen) leadership awards and laurels, including his recently bagged award as “West Africa’s Most Innovative Law Student, 2022” and “Nigeria’s Most Promising Law Student, 2021”.

With the instrument of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 and 16, which are related to quality education and good governance respectively, Richard Solomon and his team of humanitarians were able to reach out and impart in the lives of a staggering 10,000(ten thousand) students.

As the Southwest Regional Director of Law Students’ Association of Nigeria, he broke a record of conducting the largest campaign against Domestic Violence in Nigeria under 24 hours. He’s a Member, Young Africa Leadership Initiative; member, Amnesty Organization; student member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators; member of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration; member of the Young Practitioners’ Group, Asian International Arbitration Center; and a member of the Young International Arbitration Group.
